Why
Enviro Trace as your Premier Precision Leak Detection System?
Protecting our fragile environment against the ongoing contamination
from petroleum products is fast becoming an issue fixed in our
social conscious. Gasoline for example is composed of 150 chemicals,
including small amounts of benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, three
isomers of xylene, and sometimes lead (www.atsdr.cdc 2006).
The presence of even a minute amount of these organic compounds
in water can create a hazard to public health and the environment,
which can have acute and long term toxic effects (www.cee.vt.ed 2006).

Traditional methods of detecting contamination of soil is based
on simple liquid detection principles. Studies have
shown that volatilization is much of a problem as liquid exposure. By
using soil vapor detection in conjunction with liquid, a more accurate
method of measuring contamination levels in soil is available. |
